For those who missed the post, I’m posting again - to let you know that we’re planning changes here at KWG.com
Someone once said that only babies with wet diapers like changing.

istock-balloons.jpgBut we don’t buy it. Keep Working, Girlfriend: women, work and chronic illness will be changing this week. If all goes well, the next post will reflect a a slightly different page. And we promise you, you’re going to like this change!

When this blog was launched in Dec. 2006, it was based on a book of the same title that Joan and I were working hard to write. We finished writing Spring 2007 and planned to self-publish. But Demos Medical Publishers stepped in and pursued us. They actually asked to publish our book! Flattery will get you everywhere!

Along the way, Joan took on other projects and I took over writing the blog. It’s evolved into posts that don’t relate as much to the book we wrote as they do to my experience working with professionals who live with chronic illness.

Now, Joan and I have an expected publish date (the book went into production a few weeks ago - even seeing cover drawings!) And we’re bringing this blog back to the original purpose: to explore the issues we bring up in the book (more on those specifics in my next post.

BUT, for those who want to keep reading the kinds of posts I’ve been writing, I’m creating a new blog (not ready for your eyes yet - name to be announced) that focuses on the challenges you face when you live with chronic illness and work for others.

SO, Please stay tuned …
